According to Madis serial number data, it is confirmed as an antique. The rifle features a 22-inch half-octagon barrel and a half-length magazine, with a nice bore and good rifling. The metal retains about 30% of its original blue finish, with the remaining areas thinned to a grey-brown, showing just light patches of pitting.The sights include a beaded blade front sight and an adjustable sporting rear sight. According to Armax Its production statistics indicate that only 2,252 rifles out of the first 353,999 Model 1894 records had a 22-inch barrel, making this configuration quite rare.
