R2429 RARE REMINGTON TARGET MODEL 12C NRA SLIDE ACTION RIFLE FOR 22 S, L, OR LR; 24 inch octagon barrel. The about very good bore is bright and fairly shiny showing scattered light pitting with fair rifling. Correct original sights include a Lyman No. 7 Wind Gauge Globe front with no rear sight dovetail and a Lyman No. 2 tang sight with aperture. All metal surfaces appear clean and smooth showing 98% plus re-blue. Equipped with a Remington UMC marked crescent steel buttplate. The half-pistolgrip walnut buttstock and grooved forend remain in very good plus condition showing an added light finish with some spots of light flaking, handling marks and repaired thin cracks on each side of the wrist. All correct configuration right down to the magazine tube retainer having the gallery tether eyelet. Hard to find and nicely done!
