R252 REMINGTON BEALS FIRST MODEL POCKET REVOLVER; Percussion revolver with 3 inch octagon barrel chambered in 31 caliber. Bore has visible rifling with a few light pits. Blade front sight. Metal surfaces are mostly an aged plum/brown patina with traces of blue. Good markings. 5 shot smooth cylinder. Iron trigger guard. Gutta Percha grip is in good condition. Nice functioning action. About 3,000 of these First Models were produced from 1857-1858. This one is serial number 66. Not a bad looking example of a Beals revolver.
