Description
W4670 SCARCE KITTREDGE & COMPANY MARKED BRASS BELT BOX FOR .44 RF; Made of brass with a spring-loaded lid with rolled edges and integrated belt loops. Stamped on the lid with “B. KITTREDGE & CO.” and patent dates January 27, 1863, and reissued April 14, 1863. These boxes have long been associated with Henry rifles and Wesson carbines to carry bulk brass ammunition. They were easily adapted for use with the .44 RF cartridge. This one is in very nice condition with just a few minor handling dings and a broken lid spring. This is a must have for any Henry Rifle owner or Civil War collector.
