W4443 WINCHESTER MODEL 1885 LOW WALL RIFLE CHAMBERED IN 25 WCF; 28 inch octagon No. 1 weight barrel. Sights include a wind gauge globe front with spirit level, a filler in the rear dovetail and a Mid range vernier peep sight on the tang. Plain walnut forearm with matching straight grip buttstock fitted with a crescent rifle butt plate. Near excellent condition overall with the barrel showing 70% lightly freckled finish with some light pitting at the grip point. Very good bore has a few small patches of light pitting ahead of the chamber and is otherwise bright and shiny with strong rifling. The action shows 70% original case colors with a couple of patches of pitting on the right side. The stocks are solid and full fitting with very little wear and only light handling marks. Manufactured in 1892.
