W3852 FABULOUS FACTORY ENGRAVED WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 RIFLE; Engraved Model 1895’s are very rare and this one features a Takedown frame with 24 inch tapered round barrel chambered in 30-03 caliber with a bright shiny excellent bore. Sights include a German silver blade front and a flattop sporting rear. Special order full matted barrel retains virtually all of it’s original blue. Receiver has a few scratches but still retains about 98% original blue. The only real loss is at the bottom of the takedown ring. Factory engraving was done by Stokes. It has floral scrollwork on a punch dot background on both sides of the receiver. On the right side is his typical Bear walking by a lake scene. Deluxe checkered forearm and straight grip walnut stocks are in good condition with an added coat of varnish applied. Winchester sling eyes and a trapdoor in the crescent rifle style buttplate for a cleaning rod. Crisp action. Gun is in the 88k serial range and made in 1915. A beautiful very fine Winchester rifle.
