Overall gun is in fine condition retaining about 25% thinning blue with the balance turning a plum/brown color. Wood is in excellent condition with a rifle style buttplate. Herb Houze’s book on the 1876 Winchesters indicates there were only 93 1876’s manufactured with the heavy barrels. This gun comes with two Cody Museum Letters and a George Madis letter.
