W3265 SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SHORT RIFLE IN 30 WCF; Special order features include a 22 inch round tapered barrel chambered in 30 WCF caliber with a bright shiny near excellent bore. Sights include original ramp front that is common on the Extra Light Weight rifles. This has a Lyman dovetailed front and a platinum 3 leaf Express rear with a folding tang sight as well. 3/4 length magazine tube. Also features the correct 8-3/8 inch length forearm to go with the 22 inch barrel. Most thinning barrel and mag blue remain. Receiver has about 10% blue on the right side 20-25% on the left. Good traces of case color remain on the hammer and lever. Walnut stocks look good with just some light handling mars. Also a small “R” stamped on each side of the forearm and each side of the stock. Shotgun butt with a hard rubber buttplate. Made in 1902. The Cody Firearms Research Form confirms the 22 inch round Extra Light barrel length as well as the other special features. A very special order gun that is going to fill a hole in somebody’s Winchester Model 1894 collection!
