W3265 SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SHORT RIFLE IN 30 WCF; Special order features include a 22 inch round tapered barrel chambered in 30 WCF caliber with a bright shiny near excellent bore. Sights include original ramped front with Lyman blade and a platinum 3 leaf Express rear with a folding tang. Most thinning barrel and 3/4 length magazine tube blue remain. Receiver has about 10% blue on the right side 20-25% on the left side with the balance a gray/brown patina. Traces of case color on the hammer and lever. Crisp action. Walnut stocks look good with just some light handling mars. Features the correct 8-3/8 inch length forearm to go with the 22 inch barrel. Also a small “R” stamped on each side of the forearm and each side of the Shotgun butt with a hard rubber buttplate. The Cody Firearms Research Form confirms the 22 inch round Extra Light barrel length as well as the other special features and the 1902 manufacture date. A very special order gun that is going to fill a hole in somebody’s Winchester Model 1894 collection!
