R1153 RARE REMINGTON MODEL 51 EARLY PRODUCTION PISTOL; Caliber 380 ACP. S/N PA2. 3-1/4 inch barrel, hard rubber grips with the “Remington UMC” in a circle and a 380 Cal marked magazine clip. The “PA” prefix is seen throughout the production run making this one of the earliest known examples. Most blue finish remains on the gun with some slight scratches near the takedown pin and some edge wear. Mechanics are good. Comes with a paper from the Remington Society of America that discusses the other #2 that is suspected of being a factory prototype. Gun is completely unaltered and in excellent condition throughout. It has early features that didn’t come on later guns. Rare opportunity to purchase a low serial number Remington. Remington did not make many of these and to have serial #2 would be a great plus for ANY collection, especially a Remington collection.
MODERN $ 12,500.
