MHG971 CASED PAIR OF VERNEY PERCUSSION TARGET PISTOLS; 10 inch barrels and very little engraving. Retain about 90% of the barrel blue. They are actually quite plain. Both are marked “1” and “2” respectively. Maker’s name on the locks with some delicate scroll work around it. Ebony grips that are very plain. Serial number in the 4k range. Fitted in a French style case along with some accoutrements. One of the compartments is missing the lid and one cleaning rod is missing. Inside the lid is the maker’s name in gold lettering as well . Exterior has brass corners and there is some brass scroll work on the top of the case. Beautiful outfit inside and out.
