MSG1175 BEAUTIFUL PARKER 12 GAUGE DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN BHE GRADE; Manufactured in 1923 on a size “2” frame. Blued Acme Steel barrels with dual white bead sights on the solid, concave matted rib which is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. ACME. STEEL.” 30  inch barrels with excellent bores retain about 90% original blue. They have 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, single bands of engraving at either breech, and standard markings on the flats. The casehardened box lock action has the standard BHE grade engraving with fine floral scroll and “PARKER BROS” banners on either side. Scenes include a pair of pointers on the left, two geese in flight on the underside, and a pair of setters on the right. Action retains about 90% case color with hints of a silver color. Single selective trigger and tang mounted manual safety switch. DAH 2-1/8 inches. DAC 1-5/8 inch. Most varnish remains on the straight grip checkered deluxe fancy Walnut stocks with fleur-de-lis carved flats. LOP 14-3/16 inches to the end of the original Parker buttplate. There is a blank brass inscription oval on the underside of the buttstock, a few handling mars and a minor 1/8 inch hair line crack at the rear of the upper tang. This Parker has excellent mechanics and has a total weight of 7 pounds 15 ounces.
