MSG1028 ATTRACTIVE WESLEY RICHARDS 4-GAUGE PERCUSSION SINGLE BARREL SHOTGUN; 42 inch barrel. Very heavy breech and heavy half stock butt with checkered wrist. Wood is in nice condition with aged varnish turning dark. The lock is nicely engraved with a couple of game scenes and delicate scrollwork. Rigby type flats on breech end of the barrel. Mechanics are excellent. Metal has good traces of Damascus finish. Lock plate has traces of case color. Nicely done trigger guard. Weighs over 13 pounds. Barrel alone weighs almost 10 pounds. Cased with lots of accessories and accoutrements. Very nice complete outfit. Good historical representation.
