MHG938 BEAUTIFULLY DONE GERMAN SMALL CALIBER PERCUSSION TARGET PISTOL; On top of the barrel in gold are the initials “U Roos in Sohn Stuttgart”. Just a beautiful gun with about a 10 inch octagon barrel that is delicately done. Measures about 1/2 inch diameter at the muzzle. Intricate gold work at the muzzle as well as the breech end. The back of the breech and the upper tang have beautiful delicate engraving as well as the back action lock and hammer. Some of the finest I have seen. The trigger guard is blue and the boss in front of the guard is coin finished and elaborately engraved. Walnut stocks retain most original varnish with delicate checkering and carved. Overall gun is excellent with functioning set trigger. About 60% original blue on the barrel. Trigger guard has about 90% blue remaining. A very nice and unusual gun.
