MHG1079 INTERESTING EUROPEAN SWIVEL BREECH FLINTLOCK PISTOL; This over/under flintlock has about 7 inch round barrels that swivel. Barrels also unscrew, Frame is marked “London” on the left and “SeGlalas” marked on the right. Overall metal has aged to a dark brown patina. The wood stock has a filigree wire design in-bedded and shows age shrinkage and a small repair on the right side of the upper tang. Also an attempt at the tang to make repairs. Quite a unique piece with the barrels swiveling for each to fire giving the shooter a 2-shot advantage. Swivel is loose and does not hold in position. These type of pistols were used from the early 17th to the mid 19th century. A very interesting old flintlock!
