MERZ183 CASED ENGRAVED 1ST MODEL REMINGTON BEALS 31 CALIBER 5-SHOT PERCUSSION REVOLVER; Very small dainty gun with a 2″ barrel and solid German silver grips, in the style of Wexell & Degress. It has the outside cylinder rotating pawl. Gun is elaborately engraved and nicely done. Marked on top of the barrel is “F. Beals Patent” and on the frame is marked “Remington Ilion, NY”. Gun has most original silver remaining with probably some nickel on the trigger guard. The case is fine with faded original lining and cracks present in bottom. Contains a small powder flask and small bullet mold of brass. A rare Remington Beals Pocket!
