W3894 SCARCE WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 IN CALIBER 30-03 SPRINGFIELD; 24 inch tapered round barrel chambered in 30 US MOD 1903 caliber with a semi-bright bore that has good rifling. Sights include a Beeches combination front and a Lyman 2-leaf flip up rear with a Lyman 21 receiver mounted sight. Most all original barrel blue remains. Left side of the barrel is stamped “NICKEL STEEL BARREL ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER”. Receiver shows more wear and has a plum/brown color in those worn areas. Nice action. Schnabel forearm is very good condition and has the ebony inlay at the tip. Buttstock is also very good with a shotgun style buttstock with a hard rubber buttplate. Walnut stocks have had some finish added at one time. Sling eyes are present. Manufactured in 1905 and hard to find in this scarce caliber.
