W4541 DLX WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 EXTRA LIGHTWEIGHT TD RIFLE IN 38-55; Special ordered 22 inch tapered round barrel chambered in 38-55 caliber with a very good bright shiny bore. Sights include a ramp mounted Lyman gold bead front and Lyman 2-leaf folding rear with a Lyman folding combination tang. Most all thinning barrel blue remains as well as on the 3/4 length tubular takedown style magazine. Receiver has about 75% blue with some edge and carry wear with scratches. Good nitre blue on the loading gate as well as a small amount of case colors on the hammer and lever. Deluxe fancy walnut stock with H style checkered pistolgrip has a dark appearance with light finish and checkering wear and a very small chip. Checkered 8 3/8 inch short rifle length forearm has a hairline crack on left side. Hard rubber capped pistol grip and hard rubber shotgun buttplate. Crisp functioning action. This Winchester was ordered by somebody who knew what they wanted and was manufactured in 1904. This one is sure to fill a hole in your 1894 collection!
