W412 1866 WINCHESTER MUSKET; Serial number 33082 which falls right in the middle of a group of muskets identified as being possible weapons used in the Battle of Liberty Place September 1874. 27 inch round barrel chambered in 44 RF with 24 inch mag tube and musket style long forearm wood. The barrel and mag tube are a blue/brown color with some roughness at the muzzle. Sights include post front sight and ladder rear sight. Receiver is a deep mustard color in good overall condition with dings and dents. Wood is in good overall condition with of the period carving on the left side of butt “Le Duc de Hanes”. Sling swivels are present. A good looking 1866.
