Description

W4143 SPECIAL ORDER WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 PISTOL GRIP DELUXE ENGRAVED RIFLE CHAMBERED IN 50 EXPRESS; 26 inch matted round barrel retains 50% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny with strong rifling. Sights include a modified bronze blade front and a single leaf folding buckhorn rear. Half length magazine. Darkening color case hardened factory engraved forearm cap, lever and hammer with the hammer showing more vivid colors. The dust cover is marked “WINCHESTER EXPRESS/50 CAL 95 GRS.” The cartridge elevator is marked “50-95.” The color case hardened receiver shows 50% darkening finish with some vivid colors coming through in places. The lower tang is marked with XXX. Features checkered pistol grip deluxe grade walnut stocks with a horn inlay in the heal and fit with a hard rubber shotgun style buttplate. Comes with a Factory Letter confirming original production matching current configuration including the Shotgun butt and $1.50 engraving.
