W3876 WINCHESTER MODEL 1876 SADDLE RING CARBINE IN CALIBER 45-75; 22 inch round barrel chambered in 45-75 caliber with a dark bore that has visible rifling and some scattered pits. Reverse mounted rear sight missing the slider and barley corn front sight. Overall metal is smooth with some light pitting by the muzzle. A considerable amount of blue turning a plum color on barrel and receiver. Excellent functioning action. Saddle ring is present. Wood has been carefully cleaned with a light coat of linseed oil added. Not a bad old ’76 carbine from 1882. You hardly ever see these anymore with only 6,814 carbines made in this caliber.
