W3847 WINCHESTER MODEL 1886 DELUXE RIFLE IN SCARCE 40-70 WCF; 26 inch octagon barrel chambered in 40-70 WCF caliber with full length mag tube and Takedown frame. Very good shiny bore. Sights include original blade front with a blank in the rear and a “Climbin Lyman” receiver sight. Barrel and mag retain about 90% thinning blue that is starting to turn plum. Receiver retains about 95% bright blue. Excellent case colors on the hammer and lever. Beautifully figured checkered pistolgrip walnut stock has some handling mars but looks good. Rifle style buttplate shows case color. Crisp action. These 40-70’s are pretty scarce as they only made 629 but they are rarely seen in a deluxe. Fine little gun complete with a Factory Letter.
