W3696 VERY SCARCE WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 TRAPPER CARBINE IN CALIBER 38-40; 16 inch barrel carbine configuration chambered in 38 WCF caliber. Sights include a pinned blade front and a Marbles flip up carbine rear. Overall gun has been completely refinished and looks very good. Overall metal retains most of that finish. Lever and hammer have been case hardened and look very good. Wood has been refinished as well and is slightly undersized. Shorter carbine style forearm. Carbine style buttplate and correct saddle ring. Bore has a couple of rings in it and would be a good candidate for a relining. This one has a few flaws but still a fairly attractive gun from 1917.
