W3634 WINCHESTER 1ST MODEL 1873 RIFLE IN 44 WCF; The classic standard configuration 24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber with a full length mag with a rifle butt. Bore has some light scattered roughness throughout but would benefit from a good cleaning. All metal surfaces are a brown/gray patina with a few dings and some scattered light oxidation spots. Sights include a Lyman front and a Winchester sporting rear. Thumb print dust cover has a replaced screw. Safety notch does not hold. Loading gate still retains a good amount of fire blue. Walnut stocks are in good overall condition with the usual dings and handling mars.There is a presentation plaque on the left side of the buttstock. Rifle has a few replaced screws but is still not a bad looking example of an early First Model 1873 Winchester from 1876.
