W3581 WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 RIFLE IN 38 WCF; 24 inch round barrel chambered in 38 WCF caliber with a good bore that would benefit from a thorough cleaning. There is some light roughness throughout as well as visible rifling. Barrel and full length mag tube are a brown/gray patina with strong blue in the protected areas. Sights include a gold combination front with a flattop sporting rear. Also a thick base 4 inch folding tang sight with adjustable aperture. Receiver has thinning blue in protected areas with the balance a plum/brown/blue patina. Just traces of darkened mottled case color on the hammer and lever. Rifle style crescent butt plate is a mottled gray patina. Walnut straight grain stocks are in good condition with just a few minor handling mars. Crisp functioning action. This rifle is setup for shooting with this front and rare tang sight. Some good honest wear on this old Winchester that was made in 1886.
