W3315 WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 ATLANTA POLICE RIFLE CAL 44-40; 1 of 150 that was made for the Atlanta Police Department. Gun features an engraved #67 on left side plate along with Atlanta Police. 24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber retains about 75% original barrel blue. One side of the receiver has about 75% original bright blue with the other side having about only 50% blue with the balance turning a plum/brown color. Mechanical function is crisp. Original wood is in very good condition with the correct special order sling swivels. There appears to be about 75% original varnish left on the wood making this a nice clean sharp little gun. Complete with factory letter.
