MSG1147 8-BORE SIDE BY SIDE ENGLISH FOWLER; Marked on the side plates is “J. C. Grubb”. A very attractive gun featuring 36 inch Damascus twist barrels. Mechanics are very good. Locks are nicely engraved as is the trigger guard. Traces of Damascus pattern on the barrels. The balance turning plum/brown color. Locks are also a plum/brown. Not a lot of pitting. Wood is in good condition. Engraved German silver cap box. There is a shield rear of the upper tang that says “M. G. 2”. I don’t know what that stands for. This is a very handsome English Double Barrel. Just a MASSIVE 16 pound shotgun!
