MR1424 5TH MODEL BURNSIDE CIVIL WAR CARBINE; 21 inch round barrel with a good shiny bore with a few scattered light pits. Original saddle ring and the correct saddle ring sling. Original wood shows use with some dings. 2 visible cartouches and several inspector marks. Overall metal has a plum/brown patina with original blue showing through. Mechanical condition is very good. Slight loss of some wood on the forearm and missing the rear sight but still is a good looking carbine.
