MR1678 VERY RARE SHARPS MODEL 1853 MUSKET SABER BAYONET; Blade measures 22 inches. It has the date 1860 with the AIMES MFG CO mark. Brass handle has turned a dark green color. Blade has turned a plum/brown. The scabbard is complete with brass caps on each end. Leather shows some age cracking but still in generally good condition. These are scarce and I have only seen a couple over the years.
