MR1661 U.S. BURNSIDE FIFTH MODEL PERCUSSION CIVIL WAR CARBINE; 21 inch round barrel in 54 caliber. Missing the saddle ring bar and part of breech block takedown lever, which is currently inserted in the opposite direction. Overall metal has nice untouched old patina with some roughness. Blade front sight and tip-up rear sight have been customized. Wear to hammer tip. Wood is solid with appropriate nicks and wear. Fairly shiny bore.
