MR1578 GERMAN SCHUETZEN STYLE SINGLE SHOT BOLT ACTION RIFLE IN 30-30; This interesting German Schuetzen style Mauser 71 bolt action single shot cartridge rifle is overall very good and retains about 80-85% blue on the barrel and the frame retaining about half the blue. Blued octagonal barrel is marked “30 30” and has the standard German 11mm middle sight mounting rib. Very good bright bore with strong rifling. German set triggers do not function properly. Original blade front sight has been replaced by a hooded Lyman and the tang mounted sight is a replacement as well. Receiver, bolt top, and trigger guard are engraved. Walnut stock has light scattered marks and pressure dings and has a checkered grip with 2 sling swivels with 1 on the barrel and the other on the butt stock. Butt plate is missing. A good gun in a very usable caliber.
