MR1552 GASTINNE RENETTE BOXLOCK DOUBLE RIFLE IN 9X57R CALIBER; 23-3/4 inch barrels chambered in 9X57R caliber with bright shiny excellent bores. Nice deep rifling. Barrels retain most all of the thinning original blue. A few scattered cleaned spots that have developed pinprick pits on left barrel by the rear sight. Sights include a brass beaded blade front and a 3 leaf express rear on a matted rib. Rib is also fitted with Warne-Style Quick Detach scope bases. Boxlock frame is a blue toning to plum patina with nicely relief engraved oak leaves on the fences and lightly engraved border around the frame. Straight grip checkered French walnut stock has been refinished and looks excellent. Features an inlaid “2” on top of he stock and a “2” on the bottom of the checkered forearm. Rifle has double triggers and ejectors. A very nice looking double rifle for most any game you would like to hunt.
