MR1574 GERMAN MADE DOUBLE RIFLE BY H. BARELLA IN 9.3X74R CALIBER; Double rifle made by H. Barella of Berlin & Suhl features 24-1/2 inch round barrels with shiny excellent bores chambered in 9.3X74R caliber . Barrels retain most all of their rust blue finish. Sights include German silver bead front atop a matted rib and single express rear. Quick detach claw bases are mounted on the raised rear of the rib. A Schmidt & Bender Biebertal Wetzlar 1-1/4 -x- 4X variable scope duplex reticle. The color case hardened frame has toned to a silver/gray patina with some good traces of color in the protected areas. There is also some nice scroll and border engraving with about 75% coverage. The top of the opening lever has gold inlaid initials “JS”. The walnut checkered round knob pistolgrip buttstock is in very nice condition with only minor handling mars. Nicely figured with cheekpiece. Forend is also in good condition with nice checkering.as well. LOP is 14-1/2 to the end of the red rubber buttpad. Mechanical function is fine. Greener crossbolt. This is a very fine German double rifle that is ready for your next hunt.
