MR1424 BURNSIDE 5TH MODEL PERCUSSION CIVIL WAR CARBINE; 21 inch round barrel. Bore is very bright and shiny with a lite ring towards the muzzle. Original wood in good condition numerous dings and gouges. Missing a chip out of the left side of the forearm. 2 nice visible cartouches. Rifle style buttplate and has original sling and rings. Missing the rear sight. Mechanical functions are good. Overall metal is a dark chocolate plum/brown patina. Several inspector marks. Good looking used with a story to tell gun from the Civil War era.
