C209 VERY FINE 1ST MODEL 1855 COLT PERCUSSION REVOLVING RIFLE; They only made about a thousand of these making this a very rare gun. The serial range is in the 200’s. 30 inch barrel with cleaning rod fixed to the side. It has the double knurl style trigger guard. Wood shows a few light mars with most original varnish remaining. Gun looks great with an arsenal refinish. Front sight blade is missing. This gun was in the Winchester Museum in Cody until it was decommissioned and sold at Sotheby’s in New York January 1991. The proceeds went to benefit the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. A very attractive gun that needs some TLC as the cylinder doesn’t rotate. This would be a great addition to any Colt collection!
ANTIQUE $ 11,500.
