C13 HISTORIC 44 CALIBER COLT BABY LIGHTNING SRC WITH IMPERIAL GERMAN MARKINGS; This gun is 1 of 6 that was used by the Kaiser’s Home Guards. Others markings indicate the regiment and the soldier it was issued to. The Lightning Baby Carbine was 1 pound lighter than the Carbine. 20 inch barrel chambered in 44 Caliber with 95% original barrel blue. Mag tube about the same with slight toning. Bright shiny bore. Traces of case color remain visible on the hammer. Receiver also has quite a lot of original blue turning to a plum patina. Crisp action. Wood very near excellent. Great little baby! Factory Letter.
