(M4-234-16-556) EXTRAORDINARY CUSTOM MODEL 98 MAUSER RIFLE BY KURT JAEGER
One of the most elaborate rifles yet tastefully done that I have encountered for a long time. The entire receiver including scope rings are elaborately engraved in relief with the customary oak-leaf style he usually uses. Inlaid in platinum or silver are numerous lines running 6-8" up the bbl. Sides of the receiver have platinum lines highlighting it. The foreplate has a couple of pheasants and a fox in an oval outlined with platinum. The rest is in relief carving. Very beautifully done. Fancy deluxe Walnut stock carved and checkered with inlaid pieces of ivory just in the receiver area. A bobcat carved in the side of the stock just above the double triggers. It has a high cheek piece. Monte Carlo stock. Relatively short pull. On the end of the forearm there is a piece of black Ebony that is carved in an acorn motif. Overall the gun is absolutely stunning. All blue remaining. Buttplate is a rubber recoil marked "Ramstein Rod and Gun Club". It has a lighter weight 24" rapid taper bbl. Caliber is 220 Swift, correct engraved scope ring complete with double set triggers. Very unique gun. ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e
