Smith & Wesson
(MHG435-17-608) VERY RARE SMITH & WESSON MODEL 1896 D.A. REVOLVER
This is the first S & W solid frame revolver with swing out cylinder. They got it right the first time because Smith & Wesson revolvers even of modern times utilizes pretty much the same crane system. The only difference is on this model you pull on the extractor pin to open the cylinder. The swing out and everything else still look the same. This particular gun is nickel plated and in VG condition with most of the nickel remaining. Some flaking on the frame and a couple spots on the cylinder. All markings are very readable. Serial number is 915 making it a very early one. 6-shot cylinder chambered for S & W 32 Long. The standard S & W 32 cal could also be fired in these revolvers. Action works very nice, both single and double action. Beautiful original S & W hard rubber grips. If all that wasn't enough, it even comes in a nice vintage pancake style holster. A very nice rare collectable!! ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e

(MHG436-17-610) SMITH & WESSON TOP-BREAK REVOLVER
This is a spur trigger configuration not to be confused with other model 1 -1/2. This gun is nickel plated. Most nickel is either fading or chipped, especially on the back half of the frame. The action kinda works. It is a little catchy. The hinge pin is nice and tight and the extractor works. There is some kind of either homemade or modified wooden grips on this gun with an old screw holding them on. Still a neat collectable. e

(MHG423-16-488) CASED ENGRAVED SMITH & WESSON NO. 1 THIRD ISSUE
Very fine and delicate engraving covering most of the gun. If appears that it could possibly be the work of Gustavious Young? A very beautiful engraving job. Gun was originally nickel platted. There is some chipping of the nickel especially on the muzzle and the cylinder. The flutes of the cylinder are gold plated. Most of that gold remains in about half of the flutes. This gun is very solid in the lockup. Exceptional working action. Very nice beautiful condition Ivory grips. And to top it all off, it comes in a beautiful custom fit case for the S & W. There is a partial box of old Winchester smokeless cartridges. Also in the case is a very old pair of vintage loaded dice. Very nice outfit. e

This little 22 revolver has pretty much complete scroll engraving coverage. It also sports a set of checkered Ivory grips. The grips have a very pleasing aged appearance to them with 3 small notches on the bottom of left hand grip. This gun was evidently used for something! The action cocks, indexes and is in good working order. Cylinder latch does not hold the cylinder. A nice little antique S & W. Very good looking gun. ~~> VIEW PHOTO <~~ e
